So this Sunday me and marc got together and hunted a couple great areas. The first one was located right downtown on a busy street, I have been wanting to do a house on this street for a long time now, it's one of the most historic parts of cornwall. We did not find much at this location, just a 10k gold band close to the flower bed and modern clad, but it was very fun and the owner of the house was and very fun to spend the morning with, hopefully her neibourghs let us detect their yards in the near future.
The second location was equally as promising, an 1850 farm house now in the heart of a subdivision. Unfortunately we can up empty handed with only a few pennies for our efforts and large chunks of iron.
So determined to find something old we headed back into town and found ourselves in an old downtown location, in the heart of an old city block. There has been traffic at this location since cornwall has been founded.
There was alot of trashy signals but one of the first signals I dug up was this amazing brass lock! I would like to try and date it but have no idea where to start..
Lastly 10-15 min before leaving I dug up this 1916 Lc! Its my third lc of this year, but my first lc that comes from within the city.
Also got a 1916 wheatie
Also managed about 7 dollars in change and a few other goodies
