Hello Everyone!
This Sunday that just passed was probably the most fun I have had detecting in a long time!
We were 5 Detectorist and 2 Kids running around the massive field i got permission for, Man was it ever fun!! between all of us we found 40+ Old flat buttons, Multiple coins, even some Trade items!
The day started of with Samios & RELIC DirtyHands Duo meeting me at my house Shortly after 8 am, After a few leg stretches we took off to head over to Marcj's house to meet him, after a few minutes of hellos and introductions (Marc & Nick had not met yet) we left to head to the soy field,
Now a little background on this field, me and Marcj hunted another section of it last year with great success, that being said that section is not picked yet, so we had to settle on another section we had not tried before but knew it could be promising.
we arrived at the field, Parked, Got the gear ready, and walked to the far corner.
I don't think we had been detecting for 5 minutes and Nick nails a Huge Lower Canada Token, the all of a sudden its like everyone is popping out buttons!! Copper, Tombac, Small, Large, you name it we found it, it was incredible such a rush to find these things.
I did manage to find 2 coins , One is too worn to ID but the other is a USA Large Cent only my second one dug, its pretty rough shape and i cannot date it.
Pretty sure marc found a trade ax (i'm hoping he post his finds this time as they are really nice)
I had an incredible amount of fun with all you guys this weekend, detecting is fun but with great friends its even better!!
Here are the finds,
if you think you can date my US Large Please let me know
Look for a follow up post to this one soon.
