Hello Everyone!
I’ve had a little hot streak going lately and last night the wife and baby left to go spend the night with her parents at the campsite, that gave me the opportunity to go back to the park I found the tokens at on Sunday. The main thing I wanted to do was test out my settings again, I wanted to make sure that Sunday night was not a fluke and that I was truly understanding what the machine was telling me. I believe I can now interpret the deep on the fringe of detection signals, it will be interesting end of the season as I will concentrate on a few killer sites which I had given up on for lack of new old finds.
On a 1.5H hunt last night I managed to get myself another LC 1891 this time :tu: , I’m not sure which variety it is but I did notice there are some valuable ones. This signal was interesting, it was noticeable, not great but it was kinda one way ish… hard to explain, the ctx actually would not register a sound in pinpoint mode it was so deep, I had to play with it and wiggle extremely slow around it.
I also managed to find a silver dime that did not at all sound like a silver dime, but again it was a diggable midish high tone that was very scratchy but did not blank the threshold so I dug it, out popped a nail and a 1960 dime.
Up next was this 1926 penny, this signal came in very clear and was also fairly deep.
Not to long after that I dug a 1917 wheat penny
I fell in love with my CTX all over again, I can’t wait to head back out there,
Happy Hunting
