Hi Everyone!
This week end i ended up taking a little ride to Montreal and met up with Samios for a little digging, Historyman met up with us just as Nick and I were getting tossed from a park
we moved on to another location, i gotta tell you i love hunting large populated areas for some reason i feel like i blend more into the background than if i were at an empty park, i always have a great time in Montreal, you just have to watch out for LC snatching ladie's right Nick? :lmao:
things started slowly for me, nick was popping silver and lc's left and right, lol the man is one with that safari!
then the silver started, out pops a lizzy dime, then a georgie,
i'm not sure how it came to be but nick was standing next to e and i was struggling to pinpoint this one target, it was not deep but for some reason i completely missed it with my plug, anyway finally i locate the thing in the side wall of the hole and pop it out, an LC! but as i clean it off it looked different, well its a Newfoundland 1904 in killer shape!!!! :hd3:
this is right after i found it
here is a cleaned up picture of it along with my silver and flattened railroad penny my second this year
alot of holes were dug,... and apparently i left about 15 on the floor of nicks jeep.
now here is a strange coin, its a canadian penny as i can make out canada and the maple leafs BUT look at that rim!! here is a couple comparison pics with normal pennies.
here it is for comparison
also found this old tag
will have to clean it up, there is writing on the back
Thanks for looking !!
and thanks for taking me around Nick!
always a great time!
