Hope everyone is having a good week, i am on holidays this week, and it started off pretty good weather wise then just kinda took a turn for the worst, i'm still heading out and detecting trying to get as much time as humanly possible in before the baby arrives and my holidays end.
i managed to get permission to go back to the bicentennial farm i detected last year, let me tell you i seem to have done a pretty good job at cleaning it up because i did not find much, although i did find a 1938 Newfoundland Penny witch was pretty cool, the view at this locations is simply amazing.
At the begining of the week i went back to the site where i found my Sampson Mordan pencil, managed to squeeze out a few more keepers, my oldest silver to date and a fishie at that! 1880! :hd3: i also found a really interesting brooch, the only markings i can find are made in gt britain, the back shined right up and appears to be silver..? :?: and last but not least, the smallest daisy toy gun I've ever seen.
I also did a bit more water hunting, the beach is pretty clean at the moment, still found a few goodies but nothing like it was when i started a month ago, the little key is 10K with little stones, ill have to get them checked.
last night had a big nitro moment, this big fake high karat colored ring appears in my plug, on well next time, made out with 2 definetly fake and one potentially silver, also got a 1962 dime! so all in all it was a good night.
I also want to share this link with everyone, i recently made our local newspaper, hope you enjoy the read!
