Well It was another perfect detecting weekend, great weather and great finds!
Let's start off by saying that in my opinion this is my best item to date, I did not even know things like this existed, I wonder how much money someone must of had to afford a luxury item like this back in the 1830's. when I dug it up I had no idea what I had found, only when I took it home and cleaned the dirt off of it and took a few pictures and sent them to Marcj did we realize what I had dug up, Its a Sterling Silver Mechanical Pencil made by Sampson Mordan, if research is correct the hallmark and markings would date this pencil in the 1830's, :hd3: :wow: its in amazing condition minus a small split in the body and cap, if anyone has anymore info on this I would very much appreciate it. I still cant believe I found something like this!! Best Find to Date!

I guess you guys know what my find of the month for july will be
Now for the rest of my finds!!
A silver thimble!! made for tiny fingers, this is my third thimble but my first silver one, its not marked anywhere.
I then Managed to find my 6th LC of the Year 1902-1910 and another early silver dime.
Last but not least I found this huge old bullet, it almost looks like a 3 ringer but im not sure, any ideas?
I Can't wait till next weekend a few of us are going to the usa to beach hunt , hopefully lots of people dropped stuff on 4th of july weekend!
Thanks for looking everyone!! I hope everyone had a great weekend like I did!!
Happy Hunting!!
